MISSION

The Wearable ART Museum, is dedicated to exhibit, explore and celebrate the worlds of wearable art, studio jewelry, textiles, costumes, fiber and related mixed media. WAM! will utilize innovative technology, master craftsmanship and unbridled creativity as tools to communicate, educate and inspire legacy driven exhibitions by international designers, inventors, architects, and artists, sponsored by collectors and philanthropists. This dynamic immersion inspires a “catalyst for conversation” within the local community, nationally and globally by creatives who aim to integrate generational diversity through their personal visions. WAM! will present programming to invite community engagement, educational outreach and purpose driven grant solicitation and fundraising. Workshops by artists and professionals will feature interactive experiences to encourage guests to “play with art”. Additionally, various curatorial themes, will be used to authentically integrate other mediums (painting, photography, sculpture, etc.) into the robust cultural curriculum of demonstrations, academic lectures, media, and interactive programming. The museum will include a retail and on-line store featuring work by exhibiting artists and other makers. Lisa M. Berman of Sculpture To Wear (www.sculpturetowear.com) and Berman Arts Agency will serve as the Museum Director.
